<HTML>Hi Ron,
in my reference the ship is listed as MAALOY, a norwegian whaler of 249 tgr, probably torpedoed and sunk by U-510 on 27/3/44 in the Arabian Sea, position 05.25 N, 77.32 E. She is not listed by Colledge as having been taken over for RN service, though British Vessels Lost at Sea 1939-45 does have the name in the militarized vessels section. She is not listed in the Norwegian casualties for the war, possibly due to her small size.
HTH, regards, Brian</HTML>
