Many thanks for that, I have also been told she was the former Norwegian whale-catcher Globe VI - built Moss in 1935, 249 gt. Hired by Royal Navy in April 1941 for use as a minesweeper and renamed Maaløy, the rest is as you say, but sunk off Ceylon, but this is probably the same area.
