<HTML>sorry this is wrong.
there were copyright laws existing in russia some 20 years before ww2 -embedded in the civil laws.until the joining of the berne convention and un standards (which is not achieved today as there are some special russian twists around it with public domain provisions) the duration of copyright protection was 25 years. when the un-law was joined this was extended to 50 years after the authors death. i suppose the s56 photo is no prob.but the other one of royal sovereign....what is the source? was it made of servicemen or privately / private publishing house?
thx</HTML>
