My Dad Gordon Miles, (9/27/1914 - 4/18/1987)served on board this ship during WW2.
He was discharged in Halifax N.S. in 1945 and returned to his home in London Ontario then moved to Vancouver in 1946.

He was present when it was towed out of the North Vancouver B.C. harbor and out to sea under the Lions Gate Bridge on it's way to be scraped. I forget the year. My name is Ken Miles, and I live in Yuma Arizona.
