Re: HMCS ST.Francis

My wife's uncle served as a stoker on HMCS St. Francis until 1943. He made a run to Murmansk aboard her. In 1943 was badly burned when a flashback occured from one of the boilers.
He is now 89 and in a home in Ottawa and as a coincidence the gentleman in the next room also served on the St. Francis was the tallest crewmember to serve on her. Unfortunatley he suffers from Alzheimers and has no memory of his service.
