<HTML>Hello,

J.Rohwer in his "Chronology .." writes about 3rd Flotilla, too.
According to Mike Whitley's "German Coastal Forces of WW2" the boats came from 3rd and 7th Flotilla in Civitavecchia. Three of them sailed on10/11 Sept, attacked convoy SNF-1 and sank the ROWAN.
In May (?) 1943 3rd Flotilla comprised S35, S36, S39, S54, S55, S57, S58, S59, S60, S61. In the same period 7th Flotilla comprised S151, S152, S153, S154, S155, S156, S157, S158. According to that book usually not more than four boats were avalaible in Spetember 1943. Only since 24 September six became avalaible.
