Albatross was not torpedoed by a U-boot: she was most likely hit by a long-range slow-running T3d Dackel fired into the general area by the Le Havre-based S-boote, my sources quote 55 killed. Paul Kemp disagrees by stating the explosio was of ndetermined origin though due to enemy action. It was definitely not a sub torpedo since there were no U-boote in the area at the time of hit.
