the Norwegian XMS J.136 Maaloy was indeed torpedoed & sunk by U-510 on 27/3/44 in the Indian Ocean, 160 nm S of Cape Comorin, the southernmost point of India, position 05.25 N, 77.32 E. Photos of her are scarce, try asking on the norwegian forum at www.warsailors.com (ship forum), Siri should have one. Additional info on the sinking: the sub mis-identified the target as as a 5000-ton freighter (quite common an occurrence)
