<HTML>Hey Blue.
I'm not sure exactly what type of info you're looking for, but here goes.
Flower class corvettes were built more or less as convoy escorts. They were not the most appreciated class of ships by the men that sailed them because they were quite uncomfortable. Lots of seasickness. Many of the crews were from the RNR and the like, and not a small number of the Captains were old Merchant Navy officers. Except for officers and most of the POs, most of the men slept in the forecastles, which by most accounts I have read (or vets that I have talked to) was often misery. The class also had another problem. Getting hit below the waterline was BAD news. Most sank quite quickly, taking not suprisingly many of the crew with her. This was NOT plum duty, as it were. They also had food storage issues, and many times had to subsist on the now infamous corned beef trifecta (Corned beef, powered spuds all three meals, each and every day).
In shortly, misery.
But they did get a few boats in their lifetimes.
