<HTML>My Uncle, William Carol Isenberg served on this ship as a cook in World War II, I would like to hear from any of his shipmates. Uncle Bill has passed, and I would like to hear about him from those who served and fought with him. He told stories of being on deck when the suicide planes would try to hit the ship, it must have been horrible. I salute all the men and women who sacrificed so much so I might live in a free country. I served during the Vietnam war, but stayed state side. Uncle Bill was a great guy, I miss him very much, he was always laughing and making other people laugh too. If this query is not appropriate for this site please excuse me. Thank you, Tom</HTML>
