Hi F Timmerman,

To start with go to: [uboat.net] and key in: DD 801 and click “Search” then follow the links. For more information go to www.google.com and enter: "USS COLHOUN" "DD 801" in the search box and you will find a good deal of information about the USS COLHOUN including some good photos and a description of her wartime career including casualties etc. You can go directly to: [www.hazegray.org] for a summary but I would do the google search and run all of the links as well. There might be a veteran's organization where you could find some of the men that served with him and get the story first hand from them in one of those links. It's worth a try anyway.
