Hello David,
My father Charles Croly served on HMS Starwort during WWII as one of the ships Azdec radar operators (sorry not sure of the spelling). I know very little of my Dad's time on board, but am aware that he was mentioned in despatches for manning his post for a prolonged period while the ship was under attack and I believe his colleague was unavailable to take up his watch because of injury I believe.
Sorry I only have these details and would love to know more if anyone has information to share. I am very proud of my father and the men who served with him.
