Hi,
I've done some research on HMS Peterhead and she did not hit a mine on the 8th of June 1944 as reported in many web sites. It appears she survived the war and was sold to the Netherlands navy.There are reports from Lt Cdr David Croom-Johnson of the ship being damaged in Cherbourg in August.
