Hi
My late Father - Sgt Cornelius Hurley (RAF) served on board HMS Bulolo, I believe just for the D Day operation, but I am not too sure. I gave a number of photographs to the D Day Museum on the South Coast and I am glad that I did, because unfortunately during a house move, I lost the rest of his momentos and medals from the Second World War. The photos included a cartoon of the hole in the side of the ship and the ops room, which I believe is mentioned elsewhere, Churchill coming on board prior to the start of the operation and the burials at sea, following the bomb hitting the ship. Apparently, according to the archivist, the photos tied in nicely with a diary account from one of the ratings on board, as my information was rather sketchy.
