Dear Sir:
My father was Driver Operator C with the Regimental HQ of the 4th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. It is my families belief that he landed with his Regimental Commander, five OR's from the 4LAA RCA and General Keller Commander of the 3rd Division at 2:00PM on D-Day. I am attempting to find the name of the vessel from which he would have disembarked. As the command ship for Juno Beach it is a good possibility that it was the HMS Hilary. If there is any one on this website that could confirm that the 3rd Canadian Division Command group did in fact land from this vessel my family would be greatly appreciative of this confirmation. If this unit was not in fact on this vessel any information on the name of the vessel that did carry them to would also be deeply appreciated. I believe the Commander of the 9th Canadian Infantry Brigade would also have been aboard. I am try to prove my father landed on D-Day and neither the Regiments War Diaries nor Histories contain the names of the batman and four radiomen that accompanied the commander.
Thank You for any help you might be able to render in this quest
