Hi
Have only just come across this forum. My father severed on Stubborn in her darkest days. Like everyone else that has used this forum, I did'nt get a great deal of information from my dad about the the incident were they were sunk, I suppose the fear that they felt was a bit intensive to say the least. The X boat situation was absolutely true. The conditions that they encountered were so bad that the mission was nearly aborted. Stubborn towed home X10 which had successfully attact "Tirpitz" I think that I have got all the information that is available from the R.N. Submarine Museum that anyone can get (which isn't very much), but is available to anyone who wants it.
I intend to dive the boat this year (2009). It was my intention to lay some kind of plaque or just to place my fathers replica medals at some location (inside the boat), but I have seen footage of divers (foolishly) entering the boat, so I can't ensure that they would remain there.
Any reply would be of great benefit to me
