Have returned to this post by chance having started to look further at Grandfathers career.

According to his records he joined the Heliopolis 29th June 1940.He would have been an engineer.The story goes that the wrong ship was hit in target practice and he ended up in Dundee Hospital for two months Oct-Dec 1940
