Hi everyonee
Just googled the Caerphilly Castle as part of a family history project that I'm doing for a friend. I know the thread dates back to 2006 but thought there may still be someone out there interested. I have come across a Register of Deceased seamen which shows the 3 dead fishermen were James Cecil Cole aged 31 (Deck Hand), John Pattison aged 50 (Chief Engineer) and John Anderson Dempster aged 38 (2nd Engineer). The latter was the uncle of my friend. The names also appear on the Tower Hill Merchant Navy Memorial 1939-1945 from where I've got details of the fishermen including their next of kin etc.
