Hello, My Uncle (my Father's elder, and only, brother) was killed on HMS Valentine during the Stuka dive bombing, his name is James Howard, I think he was a petty officer but don't know any more than that.
If someone can let me know his rank and duties, where he is buried and any other information I will be very grateful.
The only info I have is his name on the memorial at Southsea Common, Portsmouth, England.
My Father remained very much affected by his brother's death and always observed Remembrance Day with tears in his eyes.
It would mean a lot to me to find out more about my Uncle.
I am in Australia and intend visiting UK and Europe in 2013, I would very much like to visit my Uncle's grave if its location is known.
