My name James d Stanley asdic rating Hmcs Magog was on seaboat's crew that picked up Leading Seaman Borassa who had been blown off Magog when Torpedoe hit, he was in shock but OK picked up another crew member he was dead, HMCS Toronto took us aboard later seaboat crew was taken back to Magog and towed to Quebec by a sea going tug. HMCS Shawinigan also came along side and tried to help. Leading seaman Ried was in charge of the seaboats crew. We had around 50 feet blown off our stern by an accoustic Torpedoe, water tight doors and a good crew kept us afloat, I was in the seamans mess our watch was dishing up I wa dumping the gash overside at the galley flats when we were hit.
