Hi all, on the following dates, 2 November 1917, 17 November 1917 and 15 Apr 1918, British Naval forces, comprising cruisers and destroyers, raided German auxiliary naval craft on patrol either in the Kattegat or off Heligoland. Can anyone detail the British forces, either by Squadron, Flotilla or by individual names, please.
In some records on 2Nov17, the German aux. FRANKFURT 158/1897 is said to have been sunk by C 37 but this was a coastal submarine, which I'm sure would not be part of a raiding force. These raids are not listed in the Naval books about the Great War.Many thanks Michael S. Conway, Liverpool
