Uboats Vs Airships in the Irish Sea

Hello

I am researching the career of an RNAS Airship Pilot based At Anglesey Between Dec 1917 and Oct 1918 and have identified 20 occasions he encountered or was tasked to investigate German Submarine activity on two of these occasions (5 & 15) I have definitively identified the boat involved but if anyone could assist with the rest I would be grateful. I would also like to get the German perspective if it is recorded.

1 28 Dec 1917 S/M Reported E of the Isle of Man - Unsuccessful Search
Possibly U 100

2 2 Jan S/M reported NW of Anglesey - Unsuccessful search
Possibly U91 or U 61

3 4 Jan Between Anglesey and Dublin - Engaged periscope with Lewis Gun
Possibly U 91 or U 61

4 25 Feb 1718 SM reported 14 miles S.S.W. Calf of Man steering W - Did not engage due to poor light and low fuel
Possibly U 91 or U 105

5 23rd Mar ivo 52 42'N 5W - Unsuccessful Search for U 103 responsible for torpedoing ship Kassanga on the 20th sunk 23 miles SExS of the South Arklow LV

6 18 Apr 8 miles N.N.E. of Amlwch - Monitored Oil slick while an Armed trawler and SSZ 34 engaged
Possibly UB 85, UB 73, U 91 or U 104

7 24 Apr 30 miles east of Kingstown - Dropped bombs on suspected periscope, two hits 1st failed to detonate.
Possibly UB 85 or U 91

8 4 May at 1915 Submarine Detected 10 miles from Holyhead - Two Airships dropped bombs before low light forced disengagement.
Possibly UB 85, U 91, U 86, UB 72 or UB 65

9 5 May unknown location - Two bombs dropped on an oil slick
Possibly U 86, UB 72 or UB 65

10 10 May Battle of the Stack 8 miles WNW of South Stack Anglesey - Suspected Mine or Fishing Float engaged if Mine U Boat could have been?

11 11 May 30 miles west by south of Bardsey Island S/M reported - Unsuccessful search
Possibly UB 65, U86 or UB 72

12 18 May off Bardsey Island 3 Airships engaged Oil slick dropping two bombs before arrival of HMS Albacore et al
Possibly U 86, UB 65 or U 101

13 19 May 52° 42’N 5° 3’W Submarine sighted under surface. 230lb bomb dropped. HMS Albacore, USS Allen and USS Burrows later assisted by USS Beale. engaged. 50 depth charges dropped.
Possibly U 101, U 98 or UB 64

14 28 May N or W of Anglesey Reported Submarine - Unsuccessful Search
Possibly UB 64 or U 98

15 5 Jun U-96 Engaged N W of Anglesey following Sinking of the SS Polwell

16 27 Jun 10 miles NE Skerries - 230lb dropped on air bubbles and swirl
Possibly U 92

17 7 Aug near Anglesey - Three airships one 230 Lb bomb dropped on oil slick
Possibly U 96 or U 113

18 23 Aug between Holyhead and Dublin - unsuccessful S/M Chase
Possibly UB 92, UB 118 or UB 125

19 26 Aug unknown location S/M Sighted Operating with Hunting flotilla unsuccessful night search.
Possibly UB 92, UB 118 or UB 125

20 7 Sep 230lb dropped on Oil patch near Bardsey Island
Possibly UB 118, UB 87, UB 118 or UB 64

21 29 Sep PM unknown location 100lb bomb dropped in 51C. Drifter dropped 3 depth charges.
Possibly UB 91 or UB 95
