<HTML>Hello again,

Been thinking about this during the course of the day. On August 3rd 1918 Werner returns from his last patrol. On August 18th he was awarded the Pour le Merite and as far as I can ascertain played no further part in the war! The command of the u 55 passes to Alex Weib who takes the boat on her last patrol returning on 20-10-1918 having claimed to have sunk 4 vessels he is then replaced by Hans Friedrich who is in command of the boat until the boat was handed over after the end of the war on 11th November but never undertook a combat patrol.

Assuming the above is correct can anyone throw any light on why Werner disappeared from the scene?and why Weibb was replaced after only one patrol?

Sorry if i am boring people but im a stickler for detail
