<HTML>High,

all my informations from the german and british Archives, everything else you can forgot !

From PRO ADM 137/2645 (A.S. reports 10.17 - 10.18):
Campanula, attack was at 35.35 N - 14.39 E, 12.45h british time, while escorting convoy Milo - Malta, one torpedo seen missing S/S "Carisbrook", dropped 2 d.c.'s etc. etc.

From diary U 33, RM 97/740:
U 33 attacked westbound convoy consisting of 5 S/S, 1 Sloop and 4 Trawlers, at 12.34h fired one torpedo, at 12.40h received 2 d.c.'s from the Sloop.

The reason for Kptlt. Siess to be off Malta was, that he will try to pick up one of these eastbound convoys and to follow the convoy up to Egypt, but he found none !!!!

So, everything clear ?

Oliver</HTML>
