<HTML>Hi everybody,
An aside on the loss of Carpathia.
Carpathia had been a unit of convoy HX37 which arrived in Liverpol on the 23rd June 1918, so I guess she was lost on her next outward voyage. However, her position seems to me to be a bit too far to the south for a trans-Atlantic voyage. In the convoy report for HX37 it was mentioned that Carpahia had been straggling, so had she been removed fronm the trans-Atlantic trooping runs and was instead heading to the south?
