<HTML>Hi David,
the trawler "St. John's" was forced to surrender in a short gunfire action, 45 miles N of Tory Island, with the German U-boat S.M. U 101, commanded by Kptlt. Carl-Siegfried Ritter von Georg.
The skipper, chief engineer and a stoker were taken prisoner. The trawler was finally sunk by bombs.
Hope this helps.
