<HTML>Hello i have just joined the periscope section and have done some research into a
Erwin Wassner (1.03.1887 - 24.08.1937) ,and was Kaptlt of ub-59 he recieved his pourite de merit medal on the 5 march 1918....now i found a Erwin wabner (1.03.1887) and he also recieved his pourite de merit medal on the 5 march 1918, but there is no mention of him being on board ub-59. Is it possible that these two are the same men? i.e he had two different ways of spelling his surname?
Erwin Wassner was on board ub-59 on the 16/03/1918, but there is no mention of him anywhere in uboat.net.</HTML>
