Tartar was damaged by a mine explosion off Boulogne on 17/7/17 after straying on the wrong side a buoy marking a danger area (hence my suspicion it may have been a defensive field);
Viking was mined off Le Colbart Light Vessel on 29/1/16, losing her stern but was towed in for repairs;
Both incidents are documented in independent British sources, i.e. Corbett/Newbolt, Bacon and Taffrail.
