<HTML>Magnus,
When I first saw the phrases German, sailing vessel, and Baltic, I was thinking the answer was a British submarine based in Finnland.
However, I think I found it: AUGUST (s/v), SWE, 120 grt, sunk June 10 or 11, 1917, 7 miles off Unterstens Light by teh German submarine UC58. Note that she was sunk with explosives, not torpedoed.
Best wishes,
Michael</HTML>
