I have only seen sources that credit U33 for the sinking of Sontay. Where have you seen that it should be UC54?
The sinking of Suntay was on pos. 16,4N-35,0E and the sinking the day before of Cameronia was on pos. 17,2N-36,2E for me it looks more like the half distance of yours. If he had 24 hours it gives an average speed of 3,4 knots. U33's speed on the surface was up to 16,4 and submerged 9,7. So I can´t see why not it should be U33.
