German saboteurs in New York

<HTML>According to some sources, german saboteurs in New York directed by von Rintelen, put on board of several neutral cargo ships time-explosives, which deflagration was taken later by a torpedo from a german submarine, and may confused many sinkings atributed to U-boats.
Does anyone knows the ships sunk in this way?
