U-boot framing

<HTML>Hello everybody.
I just received the current issue of Warship International: in the Infoser sectio there is a ery interesting question by D. K. Brown, RCNC, which I'd like to transcribe in toto below. If anybody knows the answer it is of interest to me too:
"How were the pressure hull frames arranged in WWI U-boats, all classes, including UB & UC? Were they internal, external or a combination of both?
There are indications that, in some cases, some were internal & some external in the same compartment. Worse: it seems that some individual frames were partly inside, partly outside. Was this the reason why so many of these U-boats were sunk by a single, unaimed, depth charge?"
Comments welcome,
regards, Brian</HTML>
