<HTML>The German U-167 was scuttled near Gran Canaria, at about 27.47 N, 15.00 W on 5/4/43 following damage & engine failure. The crew went ashore after the scuttling & was interned. This is the ONLY sub located in the vicinity of the Canaries. There is no chance of another one, of any nationality having been lost there at any time.
