30 and the Austro-Hungarian Empire on November 3, 1918. One immediate
result was the collapse of the German submarine campaign in the
Mediterranean. Those submarines that could be moved were ordered home
to Germany through the closely watched Straits of Gibraltar. U-35
sailed only as far as Barcelona and was interned there on November 26,
1918. Following the war, she was broken up at Blyth in 1919."</HTML>
