Sinkings by Explosive Charges

It´s known that german submarine sinkings in WW1 were carry out by torpedo, gunfire, open of Scuttles and also explosive charges in the engine room.
I Would like to know the particulars of the explosive charges used by german submarines in WW1 and the way of use.
Attached to the U-35 KTB is a report fron Arnauld the la Periére about a test (with calamitous results) made on board with incendiary charges. Were these used also for sink ships or only for sabotage in land ?
Any help to answer to these questions will be appreciated.

Best regards</HTML>
