Can anyone point me in the direction of the procedures that a WW1 U-boat crew would need to follow once the decision to fire a torpedo was taken both before, during and after the attack? Was a torpedo set then loaded into the tube or were settings made remotely with the torpedo already in the tube? What settings needed to be made and how long might it have taken from the moment of the decision to the actual firing?
