That's it, Coreopsis caught her while surfaced. There is a rather detailed account in "Verschollen" by D.Messimer. Concerning a suggestion on books, I suggest you pay a visit to the "Books" section of the site and you will find several of them matching with the subject but probably not specialized only in trawlers, drifters and so on...
