Hi Toerag
Its the wrong "Helge" you have. Your "Helge" 343 brt. was sunk by UB35 3.12.1917.

The "Helge" sunk by UB109 was a swedish steamer build 1877. It was on its way from London to Brest with 1510 t. of cement. It was sailing in a conwoy together with a french steamer, 2 swedish steamers "Dux" and "Venersborg" and escorted by 2 french yachts. The 25.8. at 2115 o'clock the french steamer "Pontet-Canet" was sunk by UB109, thereafter the swedish steamers headed towards land. At midnight they sighted Grand Lejon in southsoutheast. The 26.8. at 0100 o'clock they changed the coarse to get lee between Grand Lejon and the continental. 15 minutes later "Helge" was torpedoed by UB109 and sank imidiately.
With regards
Dänemark
