Brian, I will be looking at Admiralty files again at the end of this week. It seems out of step with Admiralty practice, however, to convert a vessel to "Q" status and leave her name the same. Does anyone know her Q number and identity before becoming Q? (this is sounding like a Star Trek plot). I would find it useful to know if Oliver’s information comes from Admiralty files.
