who sunk SS Eloby

Mates,

Can anyone help with any details on the ship SS Eloby.

She is beleived to have been used as a Horse Transporter between Australia and Alexandria during 1915 and was used to transport animals to Gallipoli.

I understand she may have been sunk SE of Malta around 1917 but how is not known to me but possible U Boat.
