Ah yes, no spooks but can we draw any wider conclusions with regard to the state of morale at this juncture, within the Flanders Flotilla ?
Reasonably successful boat, decent commander but a restless crew. I dont know. Dont pretend to know but it may be that morale was just starting to flake. Ghost stories in this contect are not necessarily interesting for their own sake but for the sub text they reveal beneath the surface.
