Hi there MPC, and Simon Schnetzke,

I'm the Great Grand Nephew of Egon von Bentheim.
Our family records show that he was murdered on 13.4.1919.
I'm waiting on further family records, but indications are that the plane he was flying was sabotaged and he went down with it.
He had also moved from the navy into the airforce during WW1 and was able to convince his brother - my Great Grand Father, Constantin, to join the airforce for the later stages of WW1.
