David, I requested a copy of File ADM 137/4015 and it is 2 pages containing 48 answers (many just yes or no) to questions that are not provided. It seems to be a report of a debriefing (?) Some of the answers make me wonder how the survivor was aware of these details. It does name Sub-Lt. Allen as being taken prisoner.
Do you know if there are any other documents in the archives relating to this incident? I have tried but haven't yet been successful. I'd really like some idea if leading seaman J. Leadley (the survivor) wrote a more personal account containing information about what happened to the rest of the crew later. Is it likely that this story would have made it into the press?? And if so,what's the best way of following that up?
