Neil,

indeed I have both War Diaries, of U 71 and U 80 too.

Here are the mine barriers whose would fit with the wreck position 56°37,401'N 02°09,150'W.

U 71 - 56°52,5'N 01°24'W - 56°51,5'N 01°27,5'W - 56°52,3'N 01°29'W - 56°50,5'N 01°32,5'W - 56°51,7'N 01°36'W

U 80 - 56°36'N 01°19,1'W - 56°42,1'N 01°20,6'W
