Interesting maybe, but it depends upon what it is that you're trying to research. The ADM 137/3912-3918 series is mainly U-boat tracking based upon radio intercepts. It's useful not so much in determining what a specific U-boat did but rather when the RN was tracking specific boats. I've used them when trying to make sense of complex suspect Royal Navy sinking claims for U-boats.
I'm not familiar with ADM 137/3840.
