Chris,
Lockhart Leith's work is known in U-boat research circles. It's absolutely essential when dealing with minefields not covered by the mine maps in the Krieg zur See Nordsee series.
A lot of U-boat wrecks have been found off the Flanders coast in recent years. I used data from Lockhart Leith a couple of years ago to attribute out four of these wrecks.
Here are the U-boats I currently have as known to have been mined:
U: 11, 26 (Russian mine), 37, 50, 59 (German mine), 75, 92, 102
UB: UB 7 (Bulgarian mine), UB 12 (I think), UB 13, UB 17 (according to a report from a diver I have), UB 20, UB 22, UB 31, UB 33, UB 36, UB 38, UB 39, UB 41, UB 45 (Russian mine), UB 46 (Russian mine), UB 55, UB 56, UB 57, UB 58, UB 61, UB 78, UB 81,UB 103 (at a different location, UB 108, UB 109, UB 116
UC: UC 2, UC 3, UC 6 (explosive net), UC 7, UC 11, UC 14, UC 16, UC 30, UC 51, UC 62, UC 64, UC 72, UC 77, UC 79
Own mine: U 74, UC 12, UC 32, UC 41, UC 42, UC 44
Presumed mined but wreck not located yet: U 5 (!), U 88, U 109, UC 57 (Russian mine) and up to six boats on the Northern Barrage, very likely U 156 and UB 123 and possibly some or all of UB 104, UB 113, UB 127, and UB 83.
Oh, and mines are also a possibility for most boats that are currently still listed as missing.
Best wishes,
Michael
