Is this a photograph of a vessel sinking? Although the photo gives the impression I think the wave between the "sinking" vessel and the boat the photographer is in and possibly the angle the photo was taken, just gives that impression. Another point is that the "sinking " vessel, appears to have her lifeboats secured which would not be the case in a sinking vessel or in a passenger ship in wartime.
