Arend,

It's not an exact match to any specific U-boat — many of the details are a bit off. My guess is that the artist painted it based upon limited source material and got the proportions and locations of some things wrong. That said, it seems to be mainly based upon one of the U-series diesel-powered torpedo attack types.
