I dont believe that one but there was a case in the Great War of two warships, HMS Nubian and HMS Zulu both so badly damaged that they could not sail again so the fwd part of one was fitted to the aft part of the other (I forget which was which) and the ship was commissioned as HMS Zubian.
And that IS a true story....
