I read today in the Commander File about Oskar-Heinz Kush, the commander who was shot for alledged sedition after being denounced by his IWO, Dr Abel. The captain had earlier given him a report that he wasn't fit for command. On searching for Dr Abel I found that when he did get his own command the boat was lost on the first day at sea. Nothing is known about the loss.
While I am in no position a conclusions, the thought does come to mind that maybe the captain had a point when he wrote the report. A very sad fate anyway.
